In Our Childcare Centres, the children are viewed as competent, resourceful and inquisitive – the environment is set up to cater to their interests, ideas and development. The other key idea concept surrounds the idea that children should be challenged and stimulated, encouraged to have access to all materials and equipment and provided with age appropriate stimuli. The philosopher Loris Malaguzzi believed, that children have more than hundred ways of expressing their thoughts and ideas: drawing, painting, acting, singing, construction. Within our program we supply the children with endless opportunities. Children are viewed as little researchers; they can and want to communicate with the surrounding world. They are individuals with own thoughts, emotions and expressions. In our Centres, we believe children have an enormous potential and curiosity. Children strive to understand the world, making their own theories to explain how it functions. Children{s knowledge needs to be brought out using their natural curiosity and not filled in. We believe that each person constructs their own intelligence from direct interaction with the environment and in social groups Our Centres are growing and now established in two great locations.
