Jaimie grew up in Sydney and moved to Gympie from Canberra in 1996 to take up a position as an ecologist. After almost 20 years in science research he needed a change of speed (faster) and settled on mortgage broking as a great way to spend more time chatting to people, utilise his analytical skills, work for himself and spend more time on his bike.He has had a passion for bikes (both motorised and non-motorised) from a young age, racing motor cross and later triathlon and mountain bikes. He ran Cooloola Cycles bicycle repairs from 1998-2002. His favourite team sport is volleyball, which has led him to coaching and sponsoring the Tin Can Bay Taipans.“When I went into broking, I knew I had to be highly mobile, but we were on a peak in petrol prices. To keep my costs down I went back to motorcycling after some time off the bike”.A lot of people might associate him with push bikes and he still uses his push bike to run errands around town. When he’s not on any of his bikes he enjoys sea kayaking, SCUBA diving or just hanging around home with his partner and the dogs.
