Our culture
We are a church that is big on Jesus and big on the Bible. ‘Evangelical’ simply means Gospel centred. The Gospel is God’s good news about Jesus, which is what the Bible is all about. The Bible is God’s word and is the basis of our ministry. God works through his word (the Bible) by His Spirit building us up and setting the agenda for everything we do. The Bible is Christ centred and so we seek to honour Jesus by calling people to repentance and faith in Him. SEC is a gathering of God’s people committed to taking His message, with His help, to the town of Singleton and beyond.

Our History
In 2005 four families who lived in the Singleton area and attended Maitland Evangelical Church had the desire to start a church in Singleton. After much prayer and wise counsel, SEC began meeting in October 2005 with four families and friends meeting monthly in the hope of establishing a weekly meeting around the teaching of the Bible. We are now some fifteen to twenty families enjoying regular Sunday meetings.
