About UsI came to floristry a little bit later in my career. After many years in business administration, I got to the stage where I wanted to do something different. I’d always been interested in art and in making things, so floristry seemed to me a great way to combine my creativity with something practical in terms of business. So I went back to study and did a Certificate in Floristry, and then opened Florentina Flowers in 2008.It’s a decision I’ll never regret.I feel so lucky to be able to run the only florist shop in our little seaside village of Lennox Head, and to service the surrounding towns including Byron Bay and Ballina.I’ve been able to build the business into something really beautiful, with a great reputation in the town, and to this day continue to get enormous satisfaction choosing unique, quality stock from all over the world, including gifts, jewellery and children’s toys.Of course, the flowers remain the core of the business, and with the help of my right hand florist Kelley, we are able to create beautiful bouquets for every occasion, using local fresh, seasonal flowers plus plenty of natives. We enjoy working with all the beautiful blooms like lilies, roses, gerberas, daffodils, peonies, proteas, tulips, banksias, freesias, delphiniums, sunflowers, orchids, heliconias and whatever seasonal flowers are available.
