When Harvey and Dulcie Marrable opened the doors of their first bakery, they never imagined that they would still be baking 50 years later! Today they are very proud of the fact that Gold Coast Bakeries has remained an independent family-owned business and intend, with the help of their family, to keep it that way for many years to come.Gold Coast Bakeries now employ more than 95 staff in their modern premises in Molendinar on Queensland’s Gold Coast. They also have 48 vendor distributors, three bulk driver contractors and nine sales representatives who deliver their fresh bread each day. Harvey and his family have always staunchly supported the Gold Coast region by helping out local schools, charities and community groups, and pride themselves on supporting local suppliers (rather than outsourcing or importing the necessary ingredients and services) to run the bakery. They use only the best ingredients available and take pride in preparing products that are healthy, wholesome, and tasty.
