Bonking Frog Wines is a small boutique winery in Western Australia dedicated to making quality merlot wines for pure enjoyment. Why do we grow only the one variety? We love it, that{s why. Delicious reds with soft, velvety tannins and beautiful, rich berry flavours. There{s a lot to love.
At our vineyard, on the banks of the Preston River in the Geographe Wine Region, Western Australia, we do things a little differently. For a start, we{re not like other wineries. We grow the one variety - merlot. Only merlot. It{s our passion.
Our aim is to make wine with depth and complexity, understating the oak so that the true characters of the variety leap out. We make reds that are true to merlot, soft and velvety, but we also make a crisp pink - our version of a white merlot - bringing something fresh to the wine market.
