One of Canada’s most celebrated photographers, has the innate ability to capture the essence of his subjects through the lens of his camera, which really is an extension of his heart and spirit. He visually articulated the quintessential persona of Queen Elizabeth II in an official portrait commissioned by the Government of Canada in 2005, and with equal ease and the same inventive eye, captured the quiet charm of hockey great Wayne Gretzky. Robert’s commissions have taken him from coast to coast in Canada and to places far beyond the country’s border.Robert is one of the country’s most celebrated photographers, a portrait artist, who has won three Canadian Portrait Photographer of the Year awards and six Alberta Portrait Photographer of the Year awards. He received his Master of Photographic Arts degree from the Professional Photographers of Canada in 1989. Some of Robert’s work is exhibited in Canada’s National Archives and graces walls in the homes and offices of business leaders, sports celebrities and everyday families. In 2007, he was awarded the coveted “Yousuf Karsh” Award by the PPOC.
