Dana Grund grew up making every thing he could in his fathers basement workshop in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. From from boats to bicycles, furniture, houses and a small clothing company, Dana indulged his desire to explore how things are made by making things himself.In 1997 he enrolled in the Kootenay School of the Arts, Centre for Craft and Design in Nelson, British Columbia to study furniture design and left three years later with a diploma in Jewellery and Small Objects Design.Following a four-year apprenticeship at a well established custom jewellery shop in Calgary, Alberta, he moved back east and in 2005 started GRUND Designed Goldsmith.Now with over ten years of experience {at the bench,"Dana continues to explore and create, alloying his observatgions and experience of other disciplines together with his own ideas to cast a unique style.
