Over the past 20 years, Michael has worked in various hotels, and restaurants in Toronto and surrounding areas, he has worked for Marriott hotels over 12 years, having just completed 7 years as Chef of the Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown and opening the brand new ARRIBA modern Mediterranean restaurant and bar. Michael has participated in various hot and cold culinary competitions locally and internationally, where he has earned best overall, gold and silver medals. In 2005 and 2007 he won the Renaissance ACE award (award of culinary excellence) the winners receive not only a great honour among their peers, but and award trip designed solely to highlight great culinary experiences. Olio is a Mediterranean Grille that brings flavours from all over the world onto one plate. Dining at Olio is an intimate yet vibrant experience with exquisite food and personable service delivered with flair. Michael Jensen, the executive chef at Olio has had 20 years of experience of serving people with food that they will relish and come back for again and again.
