This includes the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases, cancer, abdominal illness and endocrine disorders. Laparoscopic procedures include abdominal disorders and inguinal hernia repair. Laparoscopic surgery, also referred to as minimally invasive surgery, is a surgical technique that uses a long, thin telescope-like instrument (the laparoscope) attached to a video camera that projects images onto a video monitor.
