I’ve been taking photographsof people since I was 10 years oldwinning my first award at age 14I photograph weddingssimply because I enjoy them so muchand my aim is to make sure your big day’spublic and private momentsare recorded with discretion and great carebut above all I aim for you to haveas much FUN as possibleunlike most website wedding photosalmost every single image on this siteis untouched in photoshopthere’s a reason for that:I learnt photography on film(a lot of these images are in fact scanned from negatives)and with film you learn a very important rulevery quickly:get it right first timeand as much as I love playing around on photoshopthese are what you might call ‘raw’ imagesthat show what focusing, exposure and compositioncan achieve without the need for extensive post-processingwhich I find can look cheesy and overwroughtof course with digital there are basicimprovements that I make to each shot before you seethem and any image I do provide that you wish to havemanipulated further, I’m happy to do so free of chargebut I hope you enjoy these images for what they arewarm, natural and unprepossessingjust like the couples in thembased in Wellington I travel to mostlower North Island locations free of chargetravel elsewhere in NZ and overseas by negotiation
