Owned by the Oceania Group, we are  Atawhai Lifestyle Care & Village.  At Atawhai, 6 new 2-bedroom retirement villas have recently been  built. These architecturally designed villas feature open plan living, a  main bedroom with ensuite and walk through wardrobe, and quality  chattels & fittings, plus a single garage and laundry area. Besides,  there are 40 existing villas and cottages on-site.  Amongst the "village" part of Atawhai, there is a strong and active  social committee who organise meetings, functions, outings and happy  hours. Aged Care Facility: Atawhai has 30 rest home and 41 hospital beds on site, there is registered nurse cover 24-hours per day.  The rest home and hospital has particularly strong connections to the  local community- there are many volunteers who spend their time  assisting and entertaining residents. This ranges from wheel chair  walkers to housie players, to entertainment from community groups, to  regular church services. A mini-bus is used for twice weekly shopping  trips and for outings.
