The bakery was purchased in 1976 as a small family owned business situated in the Kommetjie village. In 1978 we started producing a variety of confectionery products for Woolworth{s. In 1987, the Woolworth{s Crunchie was developed, which catapulted us into the biscuit business. Our style is to work hard, and to make sure that everyone gets to share in the upside. To give people the opportunity to develop themselves and each other and to reward them when they do so. It’s an approach that’s led to us being one of the top producers of luxury cookies and cakes in South Africa and we intend to make it even better.
