Motor Car & Truck Distributors Super Motors, was started in 1971 by Peter and Ann Caetano, with Mazda as the Main Franchise, along with a Total Filling Station. In 1977 Paul Wood, joined Peter and Ann as a Partner and ran the Service division. In 1982 Super Motors got the Mitsubishi Franchise and Paul expanded the Service Division to cater for Canter and the Mitsubishi range of trucks. In 1989 Paul and Margi Wood, bought out the Caetano{s, shareholding and in 1991 their building which housed Mazda. In 1992 the existing Nelspruit Ford franchisee was in trouble. Paul applied for the Ford Franchise and opened Nelspruit Auto Ford in June 1993 on the corner of Henshal and Louis Trichardt streets. In 2003 all Dealers were invited to the Geneva Motor Show and a commitment was signed by all parties who agreed to enhance the product offering and improve Dealership facilities.
