Lance and Heather Plourde opened Hop River Cafe in the spring of 2007. The two self taught chefs had a vision of creating one of Eastern Connecticuts finest catering services and cafes. With years of experience working in some of the states finest fine dining establishments, Lance and Heather infuse every dish they create with their extensive knowledge and passion for perfection.Lance and Heather met while working together at a well established restaurant and catering company in Milford, CT. As their relationship developed so did their shared desire to fulfill the career long dream of owning and operating a small cafe and catering company. Lance and Heather married in 2006 and had their first child in January 2007 and opened Hop River Cafe in April of 2007. Hop River Cafe is a full service Breakfast and Lunch establishment. They also host Outstanding Special Dinner Nights generally once every other month which you are encouraged to bring your favorite bottle of wine to accompany your meal.
