It all happened when Roy Tidmarsh, current owner, graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with honors. His mom, Lois, had been baking and decorating cakes for many years from her home in Ansonia. In fact, it was from her that Roy learned how to decorate. When Roy’s dad, Cliff, retired he also became involved by doing deliveries, working in the store, etc. Today, after many years, Tidmarsh’s is ranked among the best available.Although the main business continues to be the cake and candy supply end, the family has developed a very handsome cake decorating line. Specializing in wedding cakes they also create the most beautiful and unique party and special occasion cakes available. Whether it be a bridal shower, communion, baby shower or christening, Etc.
