Dennis Whitehead is an Ohio native and a graduate of Ohio University in Journalism/Visual Communications. Following graduation, Whitehead worked with The Associated Press in the New York and Los Angeles bureaus before embarking on a freelance career in Washington, DC.Specializing in photojournalism, Whitehead{s photographs appeared in publications around the world, including The New York Times newspaper and Sunday Magazine, The Washington post, Time, Newsweek, U.S. News, Life, the German magazines Bunte, Focus and Freizeit Revue, and the Gannett group of newspapers, covering Washington, DC, national and international stories. He is a regular photographer for the American Bar Association, Reading is Fundamental, CRAssociates and the Partnership for Sustainable Communities.
