ACAP promotes stable environments for children by offering quality childcare, parent education and resources for families in South King County.Over forty years ago, a group of community leaders in Auburn met to find ways to help families become and stay employed. They believed that providing good child care was one of the solutions. Auburn Christian Action Program Daycare Association was incorporated to focus on safe, affordable childcare. With the expansion of services to include other social services for families, the name was changed to ACAP Child and Family Services. In 2011, ACAP Child and Family Services became a department of Auburn Youth Resources. The focus continues to be on providing children with a positive early childhood educational experience.
