About
The Riesling grape originated in the Rhine region of Germany. Riesling grapes can be used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet and sparkling white wines. Riesling wines usually have a flowery, almost perfumed aroma as well as high acidity; they are generally not mixed with any other grape and are not usually oaked. Riesling wines are highly "terroir-expressive", meaning the character of a Riesling wine is influenced by the region in which it is grown.
