Established in 1978, our facility started mostly as a farm animal veterinary practice providing vet care to our community. Now it has evolved into a companion service hospital, treating about 5,000 dogs and cats yearly.Specializing in companion animal medical care, Lakes Veterinary Hospital is located at the corner of State Highway 210 and S Olaf Avenue. We have a team of compassionate, dedicated and trained staff to provide preventative care, such as vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and oral health.Minnesota has had the first domestic animal test POSITIVE for Rabies in 2014. A cat in Roseau County was part of a colony of approximately 20 cats. It is reported that the cat attacked the owner, unprovoked, then was seen staggering outside the next day. At Lakes Veterinary Hospital we require current Rabies vaccination whenever working with your pet. This is for their well-being, your safety and also the safety of our staff.
