Song of the Wood (since 1975) is the home of rare "handcrafted" musical instruments and enchanting musical recordings you might never find in those large chain stores (not that there{s anything wrong with that!). I don{t recall anyone ever describing us as "convenient" ... so we must have a different idea. It{s a quieter, slower, less commercial, more intimate approach to the senses. Probably just an outgrowth of my life as an instrument maker. You know ... I{ve tried to build {em quickly ... but I just can{t. Perhaps that{s why I still have all my fingers! Maybe I{m making excuses or ... maybe it{s "just an old man{s story."
