Nelson Jewelers is a family owned and operated jewelry store that was founded in 1958 by Phillip Nelson and his wife Kay. In 1964, Nelson Jewelers was admitted to the prestigious American Gem Society and, in 1980, was awarded the title of Accredited Gem Lab. After earning the degree of Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, Phillip{s son, Jeff, joined the family business in 1978. He subsequently earned the titles of Certified Gemologist in 1981 and Certified Gemologist Appraiser in 1985. Today, we maintain an in-house jewelry shop and staff to handle most any jewelry design, jewelry restoration, or jewelry repair, on gold or platinum. Two Certified Gemologist Appraisers are available for insurance replacement appraisals, estate appraisals and fair market value appraisals. As long time members of the American Gem Society (AGS), Nelson’s conforms to that exclusive group’s standards of quality, integrity and service in all products and services.
