We are a family-owned funeral home and lifelong residents of our community. Our family includes Gary Lee Schowengerdt, a licensed funeral director/embalmer since 1968; wife Trevalyn LaFarge Schowengerdt, former business teacher and licensed funeral director since 1989; and son Jesse Lee Schowengerdt, an MU business graduate, licensed funeral director since 1998 and embalmer since 2003. Gary was affiliated with a local firm for over 25 years until we branched out on our own and built a new facility in 1990.
