First United Methodist Church, founded as the first church in Colorado Springs in 1871, is now one of the city{s largest and most active congregations. Our teaching, preaching and practice is centered in knowing and following Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord, helping all persons to grow into his likeness.The Mission of the First United Methodist Church supports our vision of creating a vital, Biblically-based, Christ-like community.
