Precision Auto Tech was founded by Nick Grott in April 2009. Nick was working for a small "buy here pay here" car dealership when he was instructed to remove a Check Engine light. At that point, Nick resigned as the technician for the dealership. Shortly after his separation, Nick opened his own shop. Nick felt that fixing a car correctly the first time was worth more than fixing a car to sell it and have it come back with an upset owner.
