Marizol Carradero-Soto is the Cake Designer and owner of Edible Art By Marizol, LLC, a licensed high end cake design studio dedicated to making our clients’ cake dreams come true. Marizol is known for her outstanding customer service and quality of work.As a cake designer, Marizol excels at capturing her client’s vision and turning it into reality by using sugar mediums such as fondant, gumpaste, chocolate, edible images and Cricut Cake tm elements to add dimension and artistic flair.Marizol started her love for sugar art several years ago; when she discovered that she could combine her love for baking with her love for art. Cake designing has offered her the opportunity to combine the project management skills acquired over the 16 years in the pharmaceutical environment, leadership skills acquired during her 13 years as an officer in the US Army Reserve, her culinary education and her artistic skills. She captures and expresses her client’s passion using edible mediums as her canvas. This includes but is not limited to: hand painting, inlays, three dimensional creations, marble effects and chocolate elements among others.Marizol holds a BA in Business, MS in Packaging Sciences, and Certificate in Project Management and is completing her Professional Baker’s Certificate. She is also a member of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societetm).She recently competed in two (2) Connecticut Chef’s Association competitions, Cake Division, earning a Citation Award in one division and a Third Place on another.
