RC was thrust into photography in 1964 by his high school yearbook staff. His photos were well received and the positive feedback encouraged him to pursue photography as a hobby. RC was a black and white enthusiast and enjoyed both shooting and darkroom activities.In 1982, RC spent all his money on new photographic equipment and toured the USA for two months visiting everything that occurred to him. Upon his return to Fairfax he declared himself in business. In 1984, Shelley Sanders brought her video skills under the same roof and RC was introduced to a new way to tell stories. Since then, Shelley and RC have operated R.C. Kreider Studios, focusing on photography, and Certified Video, producing video products. During this time both Shelley and RC have crossed over between photography and video. In 2003, RC and Shelley joined VISCOM STUDIOS, where their combined visual skills are focused on the latest in digital photography, multi-media, and video tools.
