Holly{s Homemade Bakery & Cafe{ is locally owned by Holly M. Hanson and Bruce Blanton. Bruce, originally from California, moved to Arizona in 1986 and Holly moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 1999. The bakery represents a longtime dream for Holly, who grew up in Wisconsin and has lived in Texas and Alabama.Holly{s first experience in the restaurant world was in the late 90{s. While working a full-time job in northern Alabama, she opened the Baker{s Rack, a small bakery offering fresh baked pies, cakes, muffins, cookies and more.After moving to Arizona, Holly worked in the corporate world but the dream of owning and running another small bakery never went away. After finding what she thought was “the perfect location” for Holly’s Homemade Bakery & Café, in October of 2011, she resigned from her job of 11+ years to make her dream come true.
