Village Concepts, Inc., dba Manufactured Home Center, and its predecessor entities have been engaged in the real estate and land development business since 1967 as a family enterprise. Since then, more than 600 properties throughout California have been purchased, developed and sold on the company{s account. Holding our own licenses as a general contractor, we have constructed and sold hundreds of homes in subdivisions, leased land communities, and on private property. In connection with these transactions our company has been involved in all stages of land development, such as logging, land clearing, road building, utilities, dams, etc. We have worked with large timber and construction companies as well as agencies of local, county, state and federal governments for permits, rezoning, cost sharing programs or land exchange, some of which required congressional approval.About one decade ago, our company started to focus on manufactured homes, recognizing their superiority over site built homes in regards to cost, time and simplified permit procedures as well as their dramatic advancement in design and quality. We not only have used manufactured homes as a mechanism to cash out scattered parcels of land that have been acquired over the years, but also to develop new subdivisions, leased land communities and spec homes for the entry level and medium income home buyer.Over time we expanded our business by implementing two sales divisions for manufactured homes in Shingle Springs and Martell, California, serving the private home buyer as well as developers and investors. With more than 650 homes built and sold, over 70 employees in management, consulting and construction, as well as a wide network of experienced contractors and business relationships, our company developed into one of the strongest family enterprises among manufactured home retailers in Northern California.
