Dr. Lewis was raised in Branson, Missouri. Graduating Cum Laude in 1978 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Lewis is well equipped to take care of all your pets{ needs. He first started practicing veterinary medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, and then moved to Las Vegas before coming to Arkansas. In 1982 Dr. Lewis and his wife, Paulette, established the Jacksonville-Cabot Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Lewis has been a practicing veterinarian for 33 years, 29 of which have been at the Jacksonville-Cabot Veterinary Clinic.In 1984, the Jacksonville-Cabot Veterinary Clinic was certified as an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) member hospital. An AAHA hospital voluntarily submits to a rigorous inspection process to insure that the highest standards of veterinary care are being provided. Only 14% of the veterinary practices throughout the United States and Canada have made the commitment to participate in the on-site evaluation process to ensure compliance with AAHA standards, and JCVC is one of those practices. In addition, Dr. Lewis is also a graduate of the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute at Purdue University. The VMI trains veterinarians in the business aspect of veterinary medicine.
