WELCOME TO CHRIST THE KINGIn 1954 Father Thomas Larkin (Bishop 2006) launched the foundation for what is now a legacy parish in Jacksonville, FL. Christ the King Catholic Parish began with the celebration of Mass on the campus of Jacksonville University with a congregation of 125 members.As pastor I am proud of Christ the King, a very diverse community, rich in tradition and dedicated to the service of others. Journey with us, as we grow together in faith and friendship.The mission of our faith community is to help each other experience Christ as the center of our lives and thereby know we are destined for eternal life with God. As such, we journey together as a welcoming Catholic Community centering on the Eucharist and Stewardship as a way of life. We trust that the Spirit of Christ will empower us to achieve this mission. In June, 1955, groundbreaking ceremonies on our permanent grounds propelled the parish and school on its meteoric ascendancy to its status as a National model Stewardship parish and a National Blue Ribbon Elementary institution of academic excellence.
