Photographer Gene LaFollette grew up just outside of Winchester, Virginia in the northern Shenandoah Valley. After obtaining a degree in Photography form the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1990, he went to work in Leesburg, VA.In 1998, Gene opened Shenandoah Photographics, Inc. as a retail photo lab catering to other professionals and high end amateur photographers, by processing and printing high quality custom prints. After 9 years operating a retail business, Gene decided to pursue his first passion; being behind the camera.
