Built in 1999, Charles A. Cannon Jr. Memorial Hospital provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services and advanced technology. Located in Linville, the 25-bed critical access hospital offers a range of care from family practice and primary care to cardiology, gynecology, neurology, nephrology, ophthalmology and orthopedics. Other specialties include general, orthopedic and plastic surgeries. Cannon makes full range of diagnostic services available to our community, including MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry and sleep studies. Other facilities include out-patient behavioral care, a birthing center, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Cannon Memorial Hospital is a member of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System along with Watauga Medical Center in Boone and Blowing Rock Hospital in Blowing Rock. These facilities house additional services including the Seby B. Jones Cancer Center, Paul H. Broyhill Wellness Center, Mallard Kidney Dialysis Center, Davant Extended Care Facility and a satellite office of Sanger Cardiology Clinic.
