El Aguila is a full service Mexican Bakery. Our menu includes Mexican cakes, pastries, and cookies. The menu includes Pasteles (cakes), Cupcakes, Pan Dulce, Gelatinas, Flan, Tamales, Aguas Frescas, Raspados, and Champurrado. We bake for the everyday sweet tooth, as well as for Weddings, Birthdays, Parties, Quincineras, and more. Located in El Sereno, we service all of Los Angeles and surrounding areas.El Aguila opened on May of 1973 by Apolinar Casillas (Founder). Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Apolinar worked his whole life as a baker, handing down his recipes and techniques to 3 different generations. He was the Head Baker at El Aguila from it’s opening until he handed the bakery over to Vicente Hoguin when Vicente was only 20 years old. Vicente has been the head baker for many years, and still works El Aguila today. He is now joined by Luis Juarez as another head baker who has been with the family business for many years.
