About
In April of 1938, Nowlin Puckett opened Lynchburg Camera Shop on Seventh Street in downtown Lynchburg, Virginia. Shortly thereafter, he moved the business to a larger storefront on Church Street. In addition to photographic equipment, he also sold models and magic tricks. Through the 1940’s and 50’s, it was common for local youngsters to gather on Saturday mornings at The Camera Shop to watch full length 16mm movies.
