Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. located at 403 Ridge Road in Lyndhurst, New Jersey established in 1929, has been serving Lyndhurst and the surrounding area families for some 75 years.Peter J. Nazare began providing services to the local community out of his home on Pennsylvania Avenue. As the business grew, he purchased a single family home on the corner of Ridge Road and Fern Avenue.In 1944, when Peter died, his brother Joseph J. Nazare took over. Known as "Bib" to many, Mr. Nazare owned and operated the funeral home for some thirty years.His oldest son, Joseph M. Nazare, worked in and around the funeral home from age 14, became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1965 and continued in the family line of service with his father until his fathers{ death in 1976.
