I have made that phrase the signature of my practice.The reasons I’ve embraced those words in practice (not simply a slogan) are both clinical and very personal.For years I had struggled with undiagnosed Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. During the years of my medical school education, I felt the effects of this condition physically and emotionally, understanding the hard reality of the phrase “Physician heal thyself.” It took many frustrating trips to different doctors to finally get the true cause (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis) properly diagnosed and optimally treated.
