Santa Rosa Christian School was founded in 1962, by Dayton and Carolyn Hobbs. Dayton Hobbs, a native of Bagdad, Florida was founder and pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle located in the renovated Odd Fellows Hall on Forsyth Street. In addition, the Hobbs were well known as teachers and administrators in the public schools of Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa Christian School has an exceptionally fine, modern school campus off Highway 89 in Milton. The classrooms are functionally designed and well lighted for efficient, productive study and work. The science laboratory is well equipped for both lecture and laboratory work in secondary sciences. Spacious playgrounds provide safe, clean areas for play and physical education activities.
