Ron & Stephanie Vander Veen began Chalet Jewelers in Missoula, Montana in July of 1977. Ron is internationally recognized as a master gem cutter with special expertise in sapphires. Ron is also recognized as a master lapidary. Over the years Ron has been able to offer a large, beautiful collection of rare Montana Yogo sapphires and Montana agate to our customers.Chalet Jewelers is now a second-generation jewelry store. Ron’s daughter, Mariaha Rogers, was his shadow while growing up and now runs the store. Mariaha took a short break from the Gem world while getting her degrees and then returned to formally manage the store in 2001. Mariaha specializes in her expertise with custom jewelry design and colored gemstones.All of us at Chalet Jewelers believe our customers acquire pieces of jewelry that commemorate the milestone events of their lives.
