Lake Conroe and the surrounding subdivisions are located about 45-50 min north of Houston, close to Interstate 45 freeway and about 10 miles West of downtown Conroe. Surrounding communities such as April Sound, Bentwater, Walden on Lake Conroe, Grand Harbor on Lake Conroe, the city of Montgomery, Conroe and The Woodlands offer some of the most sought real estate in the greater Houston Metro Area, especially if people are looking for waterfront property. Can you imagine if a city like LA had a body of water similar to what Lake Conroe is where there were also homes for sale? I would say the prices of waterfront homes would be conservatively 5 times the amount that they are here on Lake Conroe, and being that Texas, and especially Houston have a better economy than most larger cities in the United States makes it even more attractive.
