The practice opened in June, 2000. Previously the space had been occupied by a yoga studio. Downtown Mountain View was chosen because of its location in the heart of Silicon Valley and because of the city’s efforts to make downtown pedestrian and family friendly.
The office itself was designed with the intent of making it look unlike a “traditional Optometry office”. The look would be described as “minimalist/industrial influenced by nature”.
Dr. Chin and staff believe that the traditional look of the Dr. in a white coat and tie and staff in scrubs is a bit uncomfortable, intimidating and cold. As part of the community we feel that we should dress comfortably and look like we are part of the community
