Carolina Vineyards Winery is a real working winery that produces wine from many state grown fruits. We produce DRY, SEMI-DRY, MEDIUM and SWEET wines. Most of our Dry wines are varietal grape while most of our sweet wines are fruit. Check out or products page for more information about our wines.Tim and Carrie Walker began Carolina Vineyards Winery in May of 1999 but was not licensed by the ATF until October, 1999. Tim was an Auto Mechanic in his family owned businesses located in Tega Cay and Rock Hill, SC while Carrie was a Teller Supervisor for a banking giant based in Charlotte, NC. After beginning winemaking as a hobby in 1995, Tim began to think beyond just home winemaking. Through a friend he learned of an old winery located in Chester, SC that was closed. This winery had 41 acres total, with five acres of vineyards and all of the equipment necessary to begin producing wine on a much larger scale. Kenneth and Susan Cruse of Cruse Vineyards and Winery were the owners of that property and worked with Tim and Carrie financially to allow the property to once again become a wine producing entity. After a few years of wholesaling the wine throughout SC, the Walkers began to think bigger and decided to move the operating winery into the present location in Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
