The Mt. Zion Family would like to invite you to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings or join us for our weekly Bible Study.In April 1880, the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church was organized by the Rev. C. J. Scott, grandfather of the late Mrs. Bernice Wheeler. Rev. Scott came to Orlando from Monticello, Florida.Rev. Scott built a bush harbor for Mt .Zion on the corner of Robinson Avenue and the East side of North Division Street. A weekly program of Christian services and worship was established. The Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for the living, the understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under daily influences.
