Jan grew up in South Berwick, Maine, where she spent most of her time outdoors, growing her own food and raising pigs and chickens. Jan describes nature{s colors, hues and textures as things that have left an imprint on her heart, which she carries forward into her designs today.Jan graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1983 with a BA in Business and a minor in Fine Arts. Her home based window treatment business quickly grew to emcompass all aspects of residential design. After working out of her home for 21 years, Jan opened her retail store, EcoHome Studio in the spring of 2012. It is there that she is able to offer beautiful, Eco-friendly and affordable Interior Design, to not only her clients, but for anyone who walks into the showroom.Jan is a member of the Interior Design Society (IDS), Maine Interior Design Association (MIDA), the Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM) and the Sustainable Furnishings Council. Her recent work has been published in Maine Home + Design and Down East Magazine.
