Lankford Bay Marina was started in 1950 by Tom and Leona Edwards. At the time, it was called Edwards Boatyard and was just a place for Tom, a waterman, to haul his boat for painting between seasons. From those beginnings, it grew to the marina it now is. Doug, Captain Tom{s son, and Barbara Edwards are the current owners and managers of the Marina.
