Our Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon struggles more than fruit on the valley floor, our wine is intense and very distinctive."The 2010 is outstanding, the 2011 charming, lighter but pleasant and soft, and the 2012 potentially the best of the trio as it’s the deepest and richest with the ripest fruit, even though it’s not the highest in alcohol (that’s the 2010 at 15.4%). I like the blue and black fruits in all three of these wines, with the 2010 the most structured, the 2012 the most opulent and voluptuously textured, forward and classic, and the 2011 is lighter, but certainly very consumer-friendly.This small 5.6-acre operation is owned by Chris and Betsy Peacock. This appears to be an interesting project worth following.
