Counseling provides a safe and confidential environment in which an individual or couple is given the opportunity for growth and self-awareness within the context of a therapeutic relationship. I believe each person’s current mental health and unique world view has been shaped by previous experiences, and can be improved through the healing of past wounds and the balance of mind, body, and spirit. The theories that guide my counseling approach are Attachment Theory and Emotion Focused Therapy. This means that together, we will examine and assess your current emotions, thought processes, and patterns of behavior, based upon your attachment style. As you begin to experience greater self-awareness and healing, you will learn how to honor yourself and those around you. It is always my goal to facilitate positive and lasting change.
