For over 25 years my real job was a dog groomer, running my own salon out of my home. In my spare time my hobbies were making jewelry and sewing and anything crafty and fun. I enjoy traveling and the discovery of handmade textiles, folk art and handcrafted jewelry in interesting places around the world. When my oldest son was a baby I spent many afternoons at my sister{s home making soap or watching her paint or quilt. I admired her creativity and talent and she encouraged me to create, create, create! As I got older, (doggone it!) dog grooming became more of a part-time job. With more time to craft and create but less play money to do it with, I thought, "Hey, wouldn{t it be great if I could supplement my income with the things I make?" I tried out a few craft shows to see if my talent was marketable and discovered it was. My husband loves having me home and loves even more having me happy. He is my great encourager, saying, "You can do it!" And, so, with the help of Etsy, I have!
