In June 1905, Prosser and Perry, opened up a store in what had formerly been known as the Old Palms Building at 5221 Live Street, under the name of the House Furnishing Co., a partnership with a total capital of (Cash and Stock) approximately $3500.00.From it’s humble beginnings, the firm sold goods on installments, in fact, being the first in this field selling used household goods on this plan. In 1907 during the panic, Prosser purchased an old van and started what’s now know as a reputable and dependable moving service.
