She was a member of the Arkansas Law Review and graduated cum laude. She was the recipient of the Hispanic National Bar Foundation{s Public Interest Fellowship in 2009, and the University of Arkansas School of Law Public Interest Fellowship in 2008. Her article on immigration law and the U-visa was published by the Arkansas Law Review journal in May 2010.
